	Sign-In  Register            State Leadership Conference The State Leadership Conference (SLC) is conducted annually by the Texas FFA Association. It is held in early June at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. The 12 State FFA Officers provide specific leadership development training to the Area Officers representing each of the 12 areas.  All Area Officers are required to attend SLC so those dates must be considered by all potential Area XII Officer Candidates. In some instances, the dates will conflict with final exams and other end-of-the-year high school activities. Because attendance at SLC is mandatory for all Area Officers, the Area XII FFA Association will cover the costs for its officers to attend the conference. Area Officers are expected to learn and benefit from the training so that they can more effectively train the District officers within their respective areas at their Area Leadership Conferences.
